Why We Built This Site
Iberia Parish court records do not live in one database or at one counter. The 16th Judicial District Court covers three parishes, the Iberia Parish Clerk keeps the district court's Iberia records and docket publications, and New Iberia and Jeanerette City Courts maintain their own lower-court files. Delcambre and Loreauville municipal matters have their own mayor's-court routes. The differing paths can make a simple request for a hearing date or copy hard to direct. This resource organizes the confirmed official routes so a reader can begin with the correct custodian.
What You Will Find Here
The docket topics are organized around common official-record tasks, not around private person searches.
- Docket explanations: the local distinctions in criminal dockets and civil dockets.
- Settings: a route to the court calendar and the Clerk's published docket PDFs.
- Search systems: an explanation of the county, city, state, and federal boundaries in case search.
- Record copies: verified routes for court records, certifications, and clerk contact.
What We Cannot Do
This privately operated reference resource cannot act for a court, a clerk, or a party. Official actions and documents must come from the authority that maintains the underlying file.
- It cannot retrieve an official docket, minute, judgment, or case file.
- It cannot alter, reschedule, or confirm a court appearance.
- It cannot seal, expunge, correct, or amend a court record.
- It cannot issue a certified copy or receive a filing.
- It cannot provide legal advice about a case, form, deadline, or appeal.
- It cannot guarantee that a court's live procedures, fees, or hours have not changed.
For an official record, contact the Iberia Parish Clerk for 16th JDC matters or the court identified on the citation or case paper for municipal matters.
Search Partners
Some docket pages contain a third-party public-record search box. That tool is separate from official court systems, Clerk Connect, eClerksLA, PACER, and local city-court services. A provider may offer paid products and may compensate this resource when a visitor follows a referral. The provider controls its own service, prices, and results. Official verification still comes from the court or clerk that holds the original record.
